Renault Clio Gordini for SA

The 1 000th Clio RS Gordini rolled off the assembly line at Renault’s Alpine plant in Dieppe, France earlier this month and the good news is that Renault South Africa has confirmed that the Clio Renault Sport Gordini will be launched locally this May.
The newcomer will take its place alongside sibling, the Twingo RS Gordini, which took South Africa by storm following its local debut in October last year.
One of the hottest hatches on the road today, Clio RS Gordini is due to launch at the Renault Knysna Hillclimb event which takes on May 21 and 22.
Gordini’s remarkable and proud motor sport heritage dates back to the 1950s and is arguably one of the most legendary names in motor sport.
The recent revival of the Gordini label by Renault Sport Technologies pays homage to its legacy.
The Clio Gordini has all the best features of the mainstream Clio range, plus an unmistakable "French Touch".
